I am in the process of changing my website and blog so bear with me…

Below is my first attempt at a multimedia presentation using Final Cut Pro. I’d say it’s halfway between a rough cut (in the credits the web address of FAWE Ghana is incorrect, the panning sequences are a bit choppy, some of the video footage is washed out, there are some spots near the end where I may add some more audio clips, and for some reason the fade in/out transitions aren’t as tight as they appear on my computer) and a final cut, but I thought I’d post it until I upload a more polished version.
I’m not terribly impressed with Vimeo’s embedding options (they superimpose a blue “Black Stars” title over my title card), but the site is, overall, still infinitely better than YouTube.
The video is available in SD and HD (HD content cannot be embedded on blogs so Vimeo will redirect you to their site to view the HD version).
And I like harsh feedback, so don’t go easy on me…

Here are some more pictures I took at a local school on my recent trip to Ghana. Multimedia piece forthcoming (still). I didn’t want to post these until I finished the piece but hey, it’s been long enough, right? Also, here are some additional images from the trip that I won’t be using in the piece. Some are from Accra but most were taken in Elmina at the slave Castle we visited.
